Cao Dai is a fusion of Eastern and Western religious philosophies. Buddhist priests wear yellow robes. Confucian priests wear blue. Christian priests wear white and Taoist priests wear red. Followers wear white. The religion began in 1920 to promote worldwide unity. Construction of the Great Temple was begun in 1933. Millions of south Vietnamese belong to the sect. The saints of Cao Dai include Victor Hugo, Winston Churchill, Jesus, Sun Yat Sen and Moses.
