Peru & Machu Picchu
This is a mosaic of Pizarro's coat of arms as the founder of Lima. He and his men were given titles for their discoveries in the new world. Pizarro and his men were violent, lawless and many were illiterate. Pizarro conquered the Inca primarily because they were in the midst of a civil war at the time he arrived. Some subjects of Inca empire helped the Spanish because they thought life might be better under the Spaniards. But after 3 years they found they were much worse off.
