Laguna de Santa Rosa
Blue elderberry grows as a deciduous tree or shrub with masses of tiny white to yellow flowers. This elderberry is native to canyons, valleys west of Sierra Nevada form Oregon to Baja and east to West Texas. Hummingbirds, jays, thrashers & other birds, butterflies, rodents and humans enjoy its sweet blue-black fruits. It makes great jellies and pies. Honeysuckle family.
