Long Spined Sea Urchins Long Spined Sea Urchins (Diadema antillarum?) were glowing in a streak of sunshine. Between the sharp spines are dainty feeding tentacles waiting to catch small morsels of food. The tentacles move and point toward anything that comes close or touches them. They walk along the bottom using their tube feet and spines. Genovesa Island.
