Orange Cup Coral (Tubastrea coccinea) Orange cup coral (Tubastrea coccinea) is a soft, non-reef building species of coral that inhabits shaded lava walls and caves down to great depths. They capture microscopic zooplankton to eat by extending their beautiful translucent tentacles at night. Cup corals are found in tropical to very cold water throughout the world.
