Orbweaving Spider We saw a beautiful Orbweaving Spider, perhaps the Argiope (Argiope argentata) at Angermeyer Point near Puerto Ayora. Its ancestors probably parachuted here on its strong web.

These spiders inject digestive juices into their prey, wait for it to work, and then suck up the predigested fluid - no chewing is involved!
