Santa Fe Land Iguana (Conolophus pallidus) This Pale Land Iguana (Conolophus pallidus) is larger, yellower and has more pronounced spines than the regular Small-Crested Land Iguana. On other islands Land Iguanas are a different species, Conolophus subcristatus. The Santa Fe iguanas are 5-6' long, while others are about 3' long and not so pale. Young Santa Fe Land Iguanas have spines that stand up straight and tall, unlike this old codger. Santa Fe Island.
