Zig-zag Spider The relatively large Zig-zag Spider (Neoscona cooksoni) looks like good food to birds, particularly tree finches. It is frequently found wrapped in a salt bush leaf on its web waiting for an unwary insect to pass by. It is also called the Arabesque Orbweaver, although its web wasn't a typical orb.
