Costa Rica
The male Green Iguana is an impressive reptile with showy dewlaps. In Costa Rica they are called "tree chickens" because they are raised for meat. We got a really close look at them at Iguana Park in Orotina. They grow to nearly 6' long and are highly territorial. The male turns bright orange during mating season. He concentrates so hard on mating that he doesn't eat for 6 weeks!
