Memorial Arch at Xidi Ancient Village This 600 year old Ming Dynasty Memory Arch stands at the entrance to Xidi Ancient Village. Xidi was originally built 2000 years ago. A couple of relics remain from the Qin (221-201BC) Dynasty. There are 124 ancient Hui-style residences remaining from 1368-1644AD. White walls, blue tiles, carved ridgepoles, beams painted with powdered gold, exquisite wall and door carvings, beautiful murals. Xidi is near Tunxi, the gateway to HuangShan, a short flight west of Shanghai.
