Towers of the Tight-Rope Dancers
Still inside of the Angkor Thom complex is a row of twelve small towers. These two are dwarfed by a huge silk/cotton tree. The legendary name Suor Prat (Towers of the Tight-Rope Dancers) is colorful, but the real function of the towers is unknown. A visiting Chinese writer of the 13th century refers to them as a supernatural means of settling disputes.
