Bohemia Ecological Preserve

The shape of the Western Jack-o-Lantern varies a lot as it ages, but its bright yellow-orange color with olive tones is unmistakable. It grows on hardwoods, or on the ground near them. There is a legend that a shipwrecked sailor wrote his last message by the luminescence of a Jack-o-Lantern - but he starved because he was afraid to eat it! Just as well, because this is a poisonous mushroom.
