Bohemia Ecological Preserve

Pacific Hound's Tongue has an azure blue blossom that turns pink as it ages. (Borage Family) The fruit is a set of 4 tiny spiny nutlets (often neon orange or red), that you'd rather not have on your socks. It is beloved by many insects, particularly the Wild Forget-me-not Moth (Gnophaela latipennis) that lays her eggs on it. The caterpillar is quite attractive. The moth has long black wings with white spots.
